Morgan Bova, defeating Truman State (3-2-5, 1-2-3 GLVC), 1-0. The Bearcats have won three-straight games in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with their Friday evening victory while Stiffler fired her seventh goal of the fall.
The Bearcats utilized late-game opportunities and pressure to gain three more point in the league standings as an 88th minute score pushed McKendree to the win. McKendree fired 13 shots with five on-frame while earning 11 corners in the contest.
The Bearcats split their shot attempts with six in the first 45 minutes of action and seven in the second half.
Stiffler, who was tied for the league-lead in goals entering the night, scored her seventh goal off a free kick by Bova in the closing minutes. The header by Stiffler sailed over the Truman State keeper, pushing the Bearcats to the win. Bova earned the assist on the goal.
With the win over Truman State, McKendree extended its winning streak over the Bulldogs to three games.
Senior
Abby Tucker held the net for McKendree in full time for a ninth time this fall, improving to 8-0-2 on the year while grabbing one save. Tucker lowered her goals allowed average to 0.52 with the outing.
