LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball faced Missouri S&T on Saturday and fell to the Miners in a three-set match. The Bearcats move to 10-11 on the season following the Homecoming Day matchup.
Sets one and two resulted in close scores of 25-23 and 25-22, though the Miners would run away with the third set 25-15 to seal the Great Lakes Valley Conference victory.
Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Harris posted another double-double on the season with 11 kills and 12 digs along with a double-double from junior setter Amber Williams who tallied 32 assists and 12 digs. Two more Bearcats notched double-digit digs including senior opposite side hitter Colleen Preusser at 13 digs and fifth-year senior outside hitter Maddie Misner at 11 digs.
Also adding to the defensive efforts for McKendree were fifth-year senior middle blocker Claire Diercks who snagged four blocks and Harris with three blocks. Each added a solo block in the contest.
Up next, the Bearcats hit the road for GLVC matches at Truman State University and Upper Iowa University next weekend.
