LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball will look for its first conference wins this coming weekend as they travel to Lewis University on Friday and the University of Indianapolis on Saturday.  

The Bearcats stand at 7-7 overall on the year and 0-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference through two weeks of conference play. In team statistics, McKendree ranks in the top five in digs (2nd), assists (4th) and kills (5th). Individually, junior setter Amber Williams holds her No.4 ranking in assists at 10.77 per set.  

McKendree begins the weekend at Lewis on Friday night at 6 p.m. in the Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers hold a 12-4 overall record and a 4-0 conference record for the season so far to tie for first in the GLVC. In conference statistics, Lewis ranks in the top five in four categories including service aces, kills, hitting percentage, and points. Senior opposite side hitter Juliana Van Loo is sixth in the GLVC for hitting percentage (.349) while fellow senior outside hitter Megan Schlechte is sixth in kills (3.73 per set).  

In the Bearcats' second conference game of the weekend, McKendree and Indianapolis match up at Nicoson Hall on the UIndy campus. The Greyhounds are 13-3 overall and 3-1 in the GLVC, putting them at fourth in team standings. Statistically, Indianapolis is towards the top in five categories; most notably, they are second in hitting percentage (.273) and service aces (1.95 per set). Senior middle blocker Hannah Sabotin leads the GLVC with a .484 hitting percentage while sophomore setter Claire Morris takes second in assists (11.02 per set).
