ROLLA, Mo. | Missouri S&T Soccer Field - McKendree University women's soccer (7-1-3, 3-1-3 GLVC) grabbed a 1-0 victory over the Miners on Sunday afternoon, extending its in-season unbeaten streak to six games. The Bearcats made it a four-point weekend with a draw at Maryville on Friday afternoon and then their road win on Sunday. McKendree will host its next weekend of games with Truman State and Upper Iowa coming to Leemon Field.
The Bearcats pushed to leave no doubt early in the Sunday matchup, firing six shots in the first half while earning four corner kicks against the Miners. McKendree battled through and found the back of the net in the 19th minute via penalty kick, as senior midfielder
Reagan Mauch netted her third of the campaign. McKendree held the 1-0 advantage over the Miners going into the intermission.
McKendree continued to push for an insurance score with eight second-half shots, also controlling the game in the process. The Bearcats held-off S&T, gaining a fifth shutout on the fall. 10 Bearcats fired shots with Mauch and senior forward
