LIBERTY, Mo. - The McKendree men's and women's teams competed at the William Jewel Collegiate Invite on November 12, 2023. Eighteen Bearcats, eight women and ten men, hit the platform at the season's first away meet and had an outstanding performance. The Bearcats had nine first-place finishes from
Zariah Valentine,
Kailee Carr, Izzy Rivera,
MaryAnn Romagna,
Hannah Alexander,
Kolby Pierce, Evan Dressel,
Cadin Colehour, and
Jeremiah Barrett. Also, multiple athletes hit personal records (PRs) during the meet. Izzy Rivera and
Cadin Colehour won the best overall lifter in the female and male divisions. Finally, fourteen of the eighteen lifters hit the qualifying total in their weight classes for USAPL Collegiate Nationals. They will head to Atlanta in the spring to hit the national stage.
