SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The men's basketball team took a five-game win streak into the first road test of GLVC play against the University of Illinois – Springfield Prairie Stars on Thursday, December 7th. UIS would snap the Bearcats win streak by taking the game 97-70.
As a team, McKendree shot 26-of-56 for 46.4% from the field. They went 6-of-19 from beyond the arc for 31.6% and shot 75% from the charity stripe.
Milos Vicentic led the Bearcats in scoring with 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting. The Belgrade, Serbia native also pulled down five boards and blocked a shot. Carson Parker posted a career-high 18 points on 7-of-10 from the field. He was also a rebound shy of a double-double with nine rebounds. Caleb Zurliene also chipped in double figure scoring with 10 points.
The Bearcats will remain on the road as they travel Quincy University on Saturday, December 9th with tip off scheduled 3:00 p.m.
