LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's lacrosse (6-9, 2-3 GLVC) returned home after splitting its final road regular season weekend as they beat out Quincy, 11-9, but fell at Missouri Western State, 14-4. The Bearcats will be back in action for their final regular season home game against Rockhurst on April 23 at 11 AM. In the Great Lakes Valely Conference standings, the Bearcats are currently fifth and outside looking in from the league's postseason tournament with just one game to go as they hold a bye on Friday, April 21.

McKendree fired out of the gate for the first game of the weekend, scoring three goals over the first nine minutes of play. Attacker
Kat Albrecht began the game with an unassisted score in less than two minutes, taking a 1-0 lead. Attacker
Jenna Sugarman then fired the second unassisted goal with just under eight minutes remaining to push the game to a 2-0 advantage. Albrecht managed her second and the Bearcats' third score just over a minute later to make it a 3-0 contest. QU scored shortly after Albrecht, cutting the McKendree lead to just a pair of goals.

Jayna Barnden each fired their first of the weekend afterwards. Quincy battled back, scoring four-straight into the third period, which tied the game, 6-6.
After the initial goal of the third period, the Bearcats fired two more in the period versus the Hawks' one, holding an 8-7 lead into the final quarter. Albrecht added her fourth of the day while Julian went for her second in a man-up situation. Quincy took the lead with just under 11 minutes to play in the game, scoring back-to-back goals, 9-8. Albrecht and McKendree continued their fight, firing three goals over the final nine minutes. The graduate attacker Albrecht fired two, including the game-winner, while Julian tacked-on the final score with just over five minutes to play.

Clara Andrews added her fifth win of the season in net, grabbing 15 saves in the effort.
April 16 @ Missouri Western State
The Bearcats struggled to gain traction in their final road game of the regular season, allowing 10 goals prior to scoring their first on Sunday. MWSU fired three in the first quarter before adding seven more in the second while Albrecht finally broke the scoring ice with under a minute to play in the first half.

Lauren Fischer each nabbing a score. The Griffons fired three more in the fourth quarter to cap-off the game while McKendree scored one with Sugarman getting her first of the day.
Andrews held net for McKendree, collecting 11 saves in the effort.
