The Mckendree Cheer Program traveled this weekend to Daytona Beach, Florida to compete in the NCA College Nationals.

In a field of 7 teams in the All Girl Division 2 category the Bearcats placed 4^th with a score of 87.21. The Small Coed team competed in Division 2 as well placing 5^th out of the 9 competing teams with a score of 90.33. Mckendree is proud to bring home two top 5 finishes from the National Championships, and proud of all the work that these athletes and coaches have put in throughout the season both in competition and working alongside other sports teams on campus.

Coach Mittman shared his thoughts on the 2023 campaign, "These teams have experienced many different types of adversity this season. I truly admire the perseverance they had to overcome every obstacle in their way."

The next event for the Mckendree Cheer team will be the tryouts for next year's team on Sunday, April 30^th from 2-5pm in the main gym at the Melvin Price Convocation Center.
