MEMPHIS, Tenn. | Signaigo Field - McKendree University men's soccer (2-0-2) finished-out its non-conference schedule on Sunday afternoon, collecting a 0-0 draw against Northeastern State to stay unbeaten on the season. The Bearcats spent the entire opening portion of the fall campaign on the road with two wins in Ohio and a pair of draws in Tennessee. McKendree opens its Great Lakes Valley Conference season on September 15 in Kansas City against Rockhurst at 7:30 PM.
McKendree was unable to establish an attack early in the game with only one shot in the first 45 minutes of play versus NSU's five in the first half. The intermission period saw a 0-0 knot-up.
The second half had McKendree hit a stride on the attacking half with four shots sent in the period but none finding the back of the net.
The game ended at 0-0 between the Bearcats and RiverHawks.
NOTES
McKendree ended the non-conference season unbeaten, besting its 2-1-1 mark from the 2022 campaign. The Bearcats open GLVC-play at Rockhurst on September 15.
