LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball looks to earn its first Great Lakes Valley Conference win this coming weekend with a 3 p.m. match on Saturday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The Bearcats have faced two challenging opponents thus far in conference play as they most recently fell to Rockhurst and William Jewell.
McKendree will have its work cut out this weekend as the Tritons received a No.4-ranking earlier this week. Leading the GLVC, UMSL boasts a 14-0 record for the year and a 2-0 record in the GLVC as they have defeated William Jewell and Rockhurst in their first two conference matches. The Bearcats and Tritons met earlier this season in the McKendree Invitational.
In GLVC standings, McKendree ranks No.2 in digs, tallying an average of 18.06 digs per set. Two Bearcats rank in the top five of a statistical category for the conference; junior setter Amber Williams is third in assists (10.78 per set) and senior middle blocker Lauren McCurley is fifth in blocking (1.02 per set).

Following Saturday's game, McKendree stays on the road for the next two matches followed by the Midwest Region Crossover tournament.
