th with the University of West Florida Argonauts coming to Leemon Field.

New this year for the GLVC Sports Network is the conference has moved to a Pay-Per-View model for football, women's volleyball, men's and women's basketball. The game will cost $10. Viewers also have the option to buy an all-sport pass for $50 (volleyball) or $75 (football, men's basketball, women's basketball), and a full GLVC package for all four sports at $100.
Series History
This is the first meeting between the Bearcats and Argonauts. McKendree owns an all-time record of 1-3 against teams from the GSC. They are 1-1 against Chowan University with the most recent matchup coming on Sept. 28, 2019 when the Bearcats took the 42-35 victory. The other GSC team is Delta State, which McKendree is 0-2 against the Statesmen.

The Bearcats headed east for their season opener as they battled the Tiffin University Dragons on Saturday, September 2
nd. Tiffin bested McKendree by the score of 79-14. About halfway through the opening quarter, the Bearcats led 14-6 thanks to quarterback
Caleb Fisher finding Yogi Flager, Jr through the air for both scores.
For the game, Fisher was 16 of 29 for 148 yards with those two touchdowns. He also threw three interceptions.
Fischer's favorite target was Flager, Jr for 8 completions over 65 yards. Flager, Jr had a long completion of 21 yards.
Scouting the Argonauts
Under first year head coach Kaleb Nobles, the West Florida Argonauts started the 2023 season with a 35-3 win over Kentucky Wesleyan College on Friday, September 1
st. Ranked 6
th in the latest American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) poll, the Argonauts offense was led by senior quarterback Peewee Jarrett who completed 19-of-22 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown. He also found the end zone with his feet twice in the first half.
On the ground, they had three backs rush for over 30 yards in the week one victory. Projected starter CJ Wilson got the call nine times for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Jarrett's favorite targets were John Jiles who caught four passes for 75 yards, with a long completion of 51 yards and one score. Caden Leggett also caught four passes for 34 yards as the receivers accumulated 261 yards of offense.
On the defensive side of the ball, Will Breland led the way with seven tackles and a QB hurry. As a team, they made themselves at home in the backfield piling up eight tackle for losses, led by John McMullen who had three.
