KANSAS CITY, Mo. - McKendree Univeristy women's soccer (RV) improved to 4-0-0 on the fall with a 2-0 win over Wayne State College, closing out its non-conference slate for the fall campaign. The Bearcats posted their second shutout of the season while senior midfielder

Abigail Simon both fired scores in the victory. McKendree's next contest will be a Great Lakes Valley Conference game at Rockhurst against the Hawks on September 15 at 5 PM.
The Bearcats tallied a goal in the 16th minute, never looking back but also putting up an insurance score in the 39th to lock up a non-conference win on Friday afternoon. Mauch fired her second of the year, scoring via penalty kick to mark the eventual game-winner. Simon added the insurance for her first goal of the year while Mauch dished-out the assist on the score.
McKendree held the Wildcats for the game while out-shooting WSC, 17 (6) to 5 (0), while earning six corner kicks on the day.Â
NOTES
McKendree ended the non-conference season unbeaten for the third-straight year with its last regular season non-conference loss coming in 2019 against ODU.Â
The Bearcats tallied a second shutout on the fall campaign with the first coming over CSP on September 3.Â
Reagan Mauch fired her second goal of the campaign while marking her first game-winner. Both of Mauch's goals have come via penalty kick this fall.Â
Abigail Simon scored her first goal of the season and the second of her career against WSC.Â
