Jay Sangha fired his first collegiate score after tallying his first collegiate assist last weekend against ODU. McKendree plays its non-conference finale on Sunday, September 10 versus Northeastern State at CBU during a neutral site game.
The Bearcats made the most of their chances throughout the game, firing just four shots with the single on-frame attempt coming in the 13th minute. The attempt was sent on and into the back of the net by Sangha, who received the dish-off by Davies. The Bearcats held the 1-0 lead into the half as CBU totaled six shots in the half. Christian Herluf grabbed three saves in the half, negating the CBU on-frame shots.
The lead remained until the 68th minute when the Buccaneers knotted the game at 1-1.
McKendree and CBU finished out the day in a draw.

McKendree remained unbeaten through its first three games of the year, repeating 2022's first trio of contests. The Bearcats close out their non-conference slate on Sunday against Northeastern State.
