LEBANON, Ill. – The Bearcats matched up against the Missouri S&T Miners for the second time in three weeks. This time on McKendree's home floor, but S&T took the contest 75-73. McKendree drops to 10-8 (4-7 GLVC) and S&T improves to 10-8 (4-7 GLVC) on the season.
In an evenly-matched game, where McKendree held the slimmest of leads at the break, the Miners outscored the Bearcats 42-39 in the final stanza. Leading the way for the Bearcats was Carson Parker who had 15 points and 11 rebounds to post his second consecutive double-double. Off the bench, Kevin Stein posted 13 points and Hayden Meakes chipped in with 10. Milos Vicentic was the other Bearcat in double figures with 12 points.
McKendree outshot the Miners as they went 27-of-54 from the field for 50%. Both teams went 9-of-24 from three-point territory and McKendree went 10-of-14 from the free throw line.
The Bearcats hit the road next week as they travel to Kirksville, Missouri to battle the Truman State Bulldogs on Thursday, February 1st with tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
