KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Looking for a spark, the Bearcats made a change to their starting five against the Truman State Bulldogs on Thursday, February 1st in Kirksville, Missouri. The Bulldogs led wire-to-wire and took the contest by the score of 87-74.
Four out of the five Bearcat starters reached double figures in the contest, but the first half deficit became too large to overcome. Milos Vicentic had a game-high 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting. He was one rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards. Carson Parker was right behind him with 16 points on an efficient 8-of-11 from the field. The Nashville, Illinois native led the team with four assists, also had five rebounds. Joey Niesman filled stat sheet with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block, including 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. Making his first career start as a Bearcat, Kevin Stein chipped in 10 points.
After finding a rhythm in the second half and shooting at a 60% clip, McKendree shot 26-of-55 for the game from the field. They were 15-of-16 from the free throw line.
