Women's Volleyball Set to Host UMSL for Home Opener

LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball is set to host the University of Missouri - St. Louis for its home opener on Friday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m.

The Bearcats have faced two opponents in the Great Lakes Valley Conference campaign, defeating William Jewell in four sets and falling to Rockhurst.

McKendree will have its work cut out this weekend, as the Tritons received a No.11 ranking this week. UMSL is ranked No.6 in the GLVC, as they fell to Rockhurst and defeated William Jewell last weekend.

For the Tritons, junior setter Caitlin Bishop leads the GLVC in assists with 12.46 assists per set. Freshman right-side Alayna Santel is ranked No.6 in the GLVC in kills, with 3.78 kills per set.

The Bearcats are currently led by junior outside hitter Destiny Gray with 3.32 kills per set and graduate student right side Colleen Preusser with 3.00 kills per set. Senior setter Amber Williams is currently ranked No.6 in assists in the GLVC, with 8.95 assists per set. Preusser is ranked No.5 in the GLVC for service aces, 0.45 service aces per set.

Friday's game will be available for pay-per-view on GLVCsn. Live stats will also be broadcasted for the match.
