The Bearcats went down early, 1-0, with a mishap but it did not make the home squad stop pushing forward. The ice broke with freshman midfielder
Matthaeus Hirschmann firing his fourth goal of the fall in the 28th minute, which tied the game at 1-1. In the 39th minute, a strong lead up to the box led freshman forward
Adam Reiniger to a header to take the lead. Reiniger's header was assisted on by senior forward
Philipp Schmidt, who fired a long cross into the six-yard box. McKendree held a 2-1 advantage at the half.
In the second half, McKendree added an insurance score to its total with an 88th minute, free-kick goal by sophomore defender Bailey WInchurch, who made his return from injury on Friday night.
McKendree held its 3-1 lead and took the game to stay unbeaten on the fall. Sophomore goalkeeper
Christian Herluf added the win in net with three saves in the effort.
