LEBANON, Ill. – The Bearcats hit the road for the first time in the month of October. After three straight home games, McKendree is getting set to travel up to Northeast Missouri to battle the Truman State University Bulldogs.

Series History
The Bulldogs currently hold a 9-2 advantage over McKendree in the all-time series. Last year's contest at McKendree went in favor of TSU by the score of 56-24.
Break Out Day Leads to Recognition
A career day under center for redshirt sophomore quarterback Ty Michael earned him recognition at the conference and national level. The O'Fallon, Illinois native completed 32 of 41 (78%) passes for 400 yards and three touchdowns. With the break out day, Michael earned GLVC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. He was also named as one of Wayne Cavadi's five stars at the QB position.
Rewriting the Record Book
Redshirt senior wide receiver Yogi Flager, Jr. now owns the career record for receiving touchdowns with 20 after his three against the University of Indianapolis. His catch in the first quarter broke the record, previously held by Matt Cole.
The Belleville, Illinois native currently sits second in career receptions (154) and in career receiving yards (2,079). He needs 98 yards to pass Jacob Bachman for the program lead.
Scouting the Bearcats
McKendree enters week 8 of the 2024 campaign with an overall record of 3-4 (2-2 GLVC) and currently sits tied for 4th in the conference standings. Last week, the Bearcats pushed the University of Indianapolis to the brink in a one-score contest by the score of 42-34.
On the season, Michael has completed 56% of his passes for over 1,600 yards and ten touchdowns. He sits second in the conference in passing yards and completions per game. His top target in Flager, Jr. leads the conference in receptions per game and is second in touchdowns. Running back Eddie Clark sits in second in the GLVC with nine touchdowns. He is also number five in rushing yards with 568.
Andrew Sherry with 49 tackles for the season is top 10 in the GLVC for solo and total tackles.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Truman State are currently winners of their previous four and have improved their record to 4-3 (3-1 GLVC). Last time out for the Bulldogs, they defeated Quincy by the score of 28-21 in Quincy, Illinois.
Dylan Hair currently sits in 4th in the GLVC with 1,447 passing yards and leads in touchdowns with 14. He has completed 57% of his passes and only been picked off twice. Running back Denim Cook has gained 674 yards on the ground in 125 carries, while finding the end zone six times. They have two receivers with over 20 catches in Jackson Overton and Christopher Kerr.
On the defensive side of the ball, Brock Jones is their leader in tackles with 43.
