Lena Higgins fired the first McKendree goal of the night. McKendree closes out its road regular season contests on Sunday, October 27 at Indianapolis with a 12:00PM kick-off at Key Stadium.
McKendree and Lewis, which always proves to be a tight battle, was once again back and forth. The two squads tallied 9 shots in the first half with the Bearcats mustering five and one on-frame. The visiting Bearcats broke through in the 22nd minute with Higgins firing her ninth of the campaign off a dish-out by senior midfielder
Reagan Mauch. Lewis managed to knot the game at one goal a piece in the 23rd minute. The first half went into the intermission at a 1-1 tie.Â
The second half saw McKendree take the lead back with a 55th minute for Stiffler, marking her 10th of the campaign. The assists came off a quick two-touch pass by Higgins and
Reagan Mauch. McKendree helds its lead until the 58th minute where Lewis received a penalty kick opportunity, which the Flyers converted. The Bearcats got their chance in the 63rd with Stiffler scoring her 11th goal of the season on another helper by
Reagan Mauch, securing the game for McKendree.Â
