CREVE COEUR, Mo. | Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex - Third-seeded McKendree University women's soccer (16-4-1, 10-3-1 GLVC) narrowly fell in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Championship game on Saturday afternoon, 1-0, to the fifth-seeded Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis. The Bearcats now look ahead to the NCAA Division II National Tournament and the Midwest region as they await their fate from the regional committee, a fate which will be revealed during the selection show on November 18 at 6:00PM.

McKendree put the pace of play in its favor to begin the contest, firing six shots in the first half, including multiple cross bar strikes. The Bearcats then nearly broke through after bombarding the Tritons' goal, putting one in the back of the net but then having it called back to a late offsides call. Halftime came with a nil-nil score between the teams. 

The second half saw struggles for McKendree with UMSL holding possession and firing their goal in the final 10 minutes of action. The Bearcats fell in their title defense attempt, 1-0.
