Jay Sangha fired the goals in the victory to solidify the contest in favor of the Bearcats. McKendree closes out its regular season on Sunday, November 3 with a 2:30PM bout against Upper Iowa at Leemon Field.
The Bearcats broke through late in the first half with a goal by the freshman Muehlhans finding the back fo the net in the 38th minute for the 1-0 advantage. McKendree put up six shots in the first half to obtain its one goal lead at the intermission period.Â
In the second half, the Bearcats fired eight total shots with an insurance score coming in the 72nd minute of play. A picturesque dish out by senior midfielder
Philipp Schmidt found Sangha cutting past the defense to receive the ball. Sangha proceeded to fire his shot beyond the reach of the keeper for the goal.
