Game Happenings
One lucky fan will have the chance to drive away in 2025 Honda HR-V, courtesy of Serra Honda in O'Fallon, Illinois. Every fan that enters the game will receive a raffle ticket at the gate. The winning ticket will be drawn at the two minute timeout of the 2nd quarter and the contest will take place in the 4th quarter on the track.
Before the game, the football program will be honoring a group of 21 seniors for their time and dedication to the team. The group includes: Yogi Flager, Jr., Sam Amponsah, Andrew Sherry, Kendall Abdur-Rahman, Ethan Young, Caleb Fisher, Chase Wells, Damiko Tidmore Jr., Elijah Felton, Avery Quigley, Ronnie Hunsaker, Zion Rodriguez, Kaleb Barry, Jacob Stoneburner, Marvin Phipps, Robert Buffington, Jamiah Ellis, Matthew Wilson, Billy Doyle IV, Austin Perez, Arman Oshana and Vicent Cafazza.
Record Book Watch
This year's team is etching their names into the single season and career top 10s in the record book. Yogi Flager, Jr. needs just seven yards to surpass Jacob Bachman (2,176) in career receiving yards. The next interception for Andrew Sherry will be his sixth of the season, giving him the most in a single season. With 78 more yards, Eddie Clark will become just the fifth 1,000 yard rusher in program history.
Series History
The Peacocks are coming to Lebanon for their first time as this is only the second year of the series between McKendree and Upper Iowa. Last year in Fayette, the Bearcats took the game by the score of 41-34 in overtime.
Scouting the Bearcats
Winners of two straight, McKendree (5-4, 4-2 GLVC) are returning home for their final home game of the campaign. Last week in Rolla, Missouri, the Bearcats came from behind to defeat the Miners 27-20. The Bearcats used almost 600 yards of total offense, led by a program record for most rush yards in a game with 223 yards via Eddie Clark.
On the season Ty Michael has completed 57% of his passes with 14 touchdowns for 2,099 yards. Yogi Flager, Jr. has been his top target with 51 catches for 620 yards and five touchdowns. Clark has carried the ball 182 times for 922 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Scouting the Peacocks
Upper Iowa (5-4, 4-2 GLVC) is coming off of their bye week, but two weeks ago, they hosted the University of Indianapolis and lost 40-13.
Darryl Overstreet Jr. has completed 60% of his passes for 1,727 yards and 12 touchdowns. Mante Morrow is his top target with 33 catches for 474 yards and six touchdowns. Jayden Mitchell leads the ground game with 124 carries for 649 yards and has seven touchdowns.
