LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball displayed a dominating performance over the Missouri S&T Miners on Saturday night in a non-conference match up. With the 3-0 win, McKendree improves to 3-4 overall on the season.
The Bearcats controlled the momentum the whole way, taking three straight wins by scores of 25-13, 25-18, and 25-18. As a team, McKendree hit .345 percent, tallied eight service aces, and had no reception errors for the entire match.
The Bearcats were led by junior outside hitter Kevin Schuele who put down 13 kills and hit .722 percent while fellow junior outside hitter Tyler Tripp added 10 kills and a team-high three aces. Junior middle blocker D'Aaron McCraney tallied a season-high nine kills on 11 attempts for a .818 hitting percentage. Defensively, Schuele led McKendree with nine digs.
McKendree is back in action next week on Thursday, Feb. 8 at Quincy.
