LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball travels north to play two Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association opponents this weekend. The Bearcats play at No.14 Lewis University on Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. then at No.12 Loyola University Chicago on Saturday, March 16 at 5 p.m.  

McKendree is 11-6 overall following three non-conference victories last week over Missouri S&T, Erskine, and Maryville. The Bearcats continue to lead the nation in digs and sit second in both assists and kills. Additionally, the team is first in kills and digs for the MIVA.  

Lewis is 11-10 overall and 4-4 in the MIVA for the season as they face McKendree for the second time in 2024. The two met in early February as the Flyers came away with the 3-1 victory. Lewis appears in the top 20 in the nation for team hitting percentage at .300 percent.  

Loyola Chicago and McKendree meet for the first time this season on Saturday. The Ramblers lead the MIVA in hitting percentage (.339 percent) and hold the runner-up spot for blocks (2.3 per set). The team's hitting percentage also ranks fifth in the nation.
