INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University women's lacrosse attacker Jayna Barnden was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday, March 25.
Barnden helped the Bearcats to two wins last week after missing Monday's game against Davenport University due to injury. McKendree defeated Findlay 15-10 and Dominican-California 14-12.
The sophomore scored 13 total goals in the victories including a career-high seven goals off the bench against Findlay. Barnden also posted a .783 shots-on-goal percentage as well as eight draw controls, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.
Coming up, Barnden and the Bearcats are back in action at home on Saturday, March 30 against Maryville at 12 p.m.
