PREVIEW: Men's Basketball is Getting Ready for Postseason

SAINT CHARLES, Mo. – The Bearcats finished the regular season with a record of 15-12 (9-11 GLVC) and have earned a spot in the GLVC tournament for the fourth straight year. This is the second year of the tournament being held at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.

GLVC Sports Network

The entirety of the tournament will be broadcast on the GLVC Sports Network for $10 per game or viewers will have the option to purchase a tournament pass for $35.

Tickets can be purchased at the link to the right of this article. Adult tickets will be $15, while students with a valid student ID will be $7.50.

Flashback to Postseason Last Year

After winning the GLVC tournament as the 6th-seed, the Bearcats earned the 8th seed in the Midwest Regional Tournament. They would advance all the way to regional championship game before falling to the UMSL Tritons.

In the opening round of the NCAA Midwest Regional, the Bearcats knocked off the top-seeded University of Indianapolis Greyhounds.

Scouting the Bearcats

Earning the 8-seed in the GLVC Tournament with an overall record of 15-12 (9-11 GLVC), the Bearcats recorded a PRS of 3.20 and making their 5th tournament appearance.

Leading the way for the Bearcats is Milos Vicentic at 21.8 points per game. He is 11th in Division II in this category and 2nd in the GLVC. With 558 points on the season, Vicentic is now the single season points leader for the Bearcats in the Division II era. In route to his average, the Belgrade Serbia native is 3rd in the GLVC in field goal percentage at 53.1.

Right in front of him is teammate Caleb Zurliene at 53.4 percent from the field. On top of shooting the ball well, Zurliene is also 8th in the GLVC in rebounding and leads the conference in blocks.

As a team, the Bearcats are 2nd in the GLVC in field goal percentage at 51.1 percent and 7th in Division II. McKendree is also 2nd in the league in shooting from the charity stripe at 76.7%.

Scouting the Greyhounds

The University of Indianapolis Greyhounds begin the GLVC Tournament as the top seed with a record of 21-7 (17-3 GLVC) and a PRS of 4.35.

Jesse Bingham leads the Greyhounds in scoring at 15.6 points per game. Bingham is also top 10 in the GLVC in blocks, FG percentage and free throws.
