Women's Water Polo Battles Against the Vikings

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Bearcats traveled to Rock Island, Illinois to compete against Augustana College falling 7-8.

The Bearcats were led offensively by sophomore attacker Joey Rebelo with 4-of-5 shooting. Senior Jazmine Guzman tabbed in two goals and three assists, and freshman defender Sarah Velazco chipped in one goal for the Bearcats. Defensively, the Bearcats were led by Junior Goalie Sydney Kane, with 14 goals saved, only eight goals allowed, and two steals. Freshman attacker Hailey Munoz secured two steals as well for McKendree. 

The Bearcats are back in action March 23-24 as they compete in the WWPA Bearcat Clash in O'Fallon, Ill. at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
