Women's Water Polo Advances to Semifinals Defeating the Sea Otters

LA MIRADA, Calif. - McKendree women's water polo had their first-round game of the WWPA Championships against California State University Monterey Bay defeating the Sea Otters with a score of 10-7.

Leading the way offensively for the Bearcats was sophomore attacker Joey Rebelo tabbing in three goals and two assists. Fifth-year defender Delaney Hall and freshman attacker Shanelle Márquez secured two goals each. Junior goalie Sydney Kane led the way on the defensive end for the Bearcats saving 11 goals and only allowing seven. 

The Bearcats are back in action tomorrow in the semifinal round as they will face No.2 Cal State East Bay at 2:45 pm PT.
