LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University men's volleyball is set to play its final regular season games of the season this week at Ohio State on Thursday, April 4 and Saturday, April 6.  

No.18-ranked McKendree enters the week 14-9 overall, just one win shy of the program record of most wins in a single season. The Bearcats are 8-6 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association to rank fourth in the nine-team league. This week's games will determine the seeding for the MIVA tournament, set to begin on Saturday, April 13. McKendree has kept up a strong defensive performance as they lead the nation in average digs at 10.57 per set.  

Reigning MIVA champion Ohio State upholds a No.10 ranking with a 17-8 overall record and a 10-5 MIVA record. The Buckeyes rank third in the league. This will be the second meeting between the Buckeyes and Bearcats as they faced one another just a week ago at McKendree. The remarkably competitive match came down to the fifth set; Ohio State slipped away with the final set to take the match 3-2.  

Ball State ranks No.11 with an 18-9 overall record and leads the MIVA at 11-3 in conference play. Last season, the Cardinals shared the regular season conference title with Ohio State and Loyola Chicago. In the last matchup between McKendree and Ball State, McKendree was unranked and swept the then-No.11-ranked Ball State. The Cardinals will face Quincy on Thursday night before taking on the Bearcats on Saturday.
