SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The McKendree University Anglers take second in the fourth annual Preseason Poll conducted by the Association of Collegiate Anglers. The Bearcats are predicted to finish second in the ACA Bass Pro Shops School of the Year Race by the end of the season.

McKendree's second-place finish marks its ninth top-five finish in the past 10 years, including two first-place finishes (2029, 2020). McKendree is one of three teams to have claimed two or more titles, along with the University of North Alabama and the University of Montevallo.

The Bearcat Anglers finished fourth last season in the college fishing all-encompassing National Ranking system. Going into the 2024-25 School of the Year Race, McKendree has the chance to be just the second team to win three School of the Year titles.
