LIBERTY, Mo. - Seventh-ranked McKendree University men's soccer (5-0-0, 2-0-0 GLVC) captured its third shutout of the 2024 campaign witha 2-0 result over William Jewell on Friday night. The Bearcats allowed just one shot on goal while the game-winner was fired by junior forward
Rezhis Koxhaj, his second unassisted score of the year. McKendree sits undefeated this fall with exclusively road wins and will take on Truman State in its next contest on September 22 at 2:30PM.
The seventh-ranked Bearcats took a lead early in the game and never looked back as junior forward
Rezhis Koxhaj fired an unassisted goal in the fifth minute. Koxhaj swiped the ball from a Cardinal defender, taking it all the way to find the back of the net for the 1-0 advantage. the goal marks his second unassisted goal of the season. McKendree then continued its pressure, forcing a major mistake by William Jewell as the Cardinals' forward mishandled the ball which resulted in an own goal. No.7 McKendree led 2-0 at the half.
The Bearcats upped their pressure in the second half with five shots with three on frame while earning four corner kicks.

Christian Herluf captured his third clean sheet of the fall while earning his 17th overall shutout of his career.
