LEBANON, Ill. - McKendree University women's volleyball is set to open its season in Arkadelphia, Arkansas this coming weekend at the Reddie-Tiger Invitational hosted by Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. The Bearcats play a doubleheader on Friday at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. followed by another doubleheader on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

In McKendree's first game on Friday, the Bearcats will face St. Mary's University, a member of the Lone Star Conference. The two teams will meet for the first time in women's volleyball history. Next, the Bearcats will face Henderson State University, a part of the Great American Conference. The two teams will meet for the first time since September of 2015 where McKendree took the victory in three sets. Both Friday's games will be held at the Duke Wells Center at Henderson State University.

On Saturday, McKendree begins the day at the Duke Wells Center facing Mississippi College for the first time in women's volleyball history. The Choctaws, from Clinton, Mississippi represent the Gulf South Conference. In the afternoon session on Saturday, Ouachita Baptist University will host the Bearcats in the Sturgis Physical Education Center. This will be the first time the two teams meet.
