LEBANON, Ill. | Leemon Field - No.10 McKendree University men's soccer (6-0-2, 3-0-2 GLVC) kept its unbeaten record this season with a 1-0 result over Southwest Baptist on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats fired an early first half score and never looked back at sophomore midfielder Jay Sangha scored his second of the campaign. McKendree is back on the road for its next pair of games, heading off to Lincoln on October 4 and to Missouri S&T on October 6. 

The 10th-ranked Bearcats battled early on, unable to find a proper gap until the 19th minute which saw a breakthrough by the sophomore Jay Sangha, who corralled a ball from senior midfielder Philipp Schmidt, and then fired it into the back of the net. With the 1-0 lead, the Bearcats kept pushing forward on SBU, searching for more scores. The first half ended with McKendree firing three shots and maintaining its 1-0 advantage over SBU. 

McKendree then ekpt up its pace over SBU, firing five more shots in the second half but unable to capture any further scoring. The 10th-ranked McKendree squad added its sixth victory of the fall campaign with the clean sheet result.
