CEDAR FALLS, Iowa | UNI Dome - Fourth-seeded and fifth-ranked McKendree University women's wrestling (11-3) battled through the annual National Duals championship tournament hosted by the National Wrestling Coaches Association, placing third overall after going 3-1 and defeating third-ranked and seeded King University in the third place match on Saturday afternoon, 28-16. The Bearcats tallied three ranked wins with two coming over seeded squads at National Duals while two Bearcats went undefeated in their individuals matches on the weekend in freshman 103
Gabriele Tedesco and sophomore 131
Alex Szkotnicki. Both Tedesco and Szkotnicki claimed multiple ranked wins while each going 4-0 overall. McKendree gets back on the mats on Saturday, January 18 at the MoBap Open in St. Louis, Missouri at the Carl & Deloris Petty SRC on the campus of Missouri Baptist.

Kaylynn Albrecht made their season debut for the Bearcats with each going 3-1 at the National Duals championship tournament. Kelly tallied three technical fall wins while Albrecht put up a pin, a tech, as well as a win over top-ranked 160 Cheyanne Bowman of King.
