Men's Volleyball Set to Host University of Charleston

LEBANON, Ill. - The Mckendree men's volleyball team will host the University of Charleston on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m.

The Bearcats sport an overall record of 1-4, after falling to No. 2 Long Beach State this past Thursday. The Golden Eagles are currently 1-4, after losing to Lincoln Memorial on Friday and Saturday in three and four sets. The University of Charleston is led by opposite side hitter Xander Bomert, averaging 4.05 kills per set, and outside hitter Kai Cousins with 1.88 digs per set.

McKendree is currently led by senior outside hitter Kevin Schuele with 58 kills on the season, averaging 3.22 per set. Sophomore setter Nate Flayter leads the team in assists with 9.39 per set and service aces with eight on the season. Defensively, junior libero Yadiel Diaz averages 2.17 digs per set and senior middle blocker D'Aaron McCraney averages 1.11 blocks per set.
