Men's Volleyball to Host Maryville for Flannel Night

LEBANON, Ill. - The McKendree men's volleyball team is set to host Maryville University at home this Friday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. for Flannel Night.

The Bearcats hold an overall record of 2-4, after sweeping the University of Charleston in three sets this past Saturday. The Saints sport an overall record of 1-3, after falling in their first three matches and taking down Brescia University this past Monday. Outside hitter Makai Scott leads the Saints with 60 kills on the season and libero Zac Clark leads defensively with 31 digs.

McKendree is currently led by senior outside hitter Kevin Schuele with 65 kills on the season, averaging 3.10 per set. Sophomore setter Nate Flayter leads the team in assists and service aces, averaging 9.67 assists per set and has eight aces on the season. Defensively, junior libero Yadiel Diaz leads the team in digs with 45 on the season, averaging 2.14 per set. Senior middle blocker D'Aaron McCraney and junior middle blocker Rolen Lively are dominating with their blocking presence with 23 and 18 blocks on the season, respectively.
