Peru, IN - The McKendree University Men's Golf team wrapped up three rounds at the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Preview at the Rock Hollow Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday. The event provided the lineup with a balanced mix of highlights, including strong finishes, timely birdies, and momentum swings that showcased the group's ability to compete across 54 holes. Trystan Du Plessis at +6 (222), with five other Bearcats finishing within 18 shots of each other.
TRYSTAN DU PLESSIS | T-18TH PLACE | +6 / 222
Du Plessis set the tone for McKendree, finishing at 222 (+6) with 10 total birdies, the most by any Bearcat. He closed his opening round with birdies on two of his final four holes and played Rock Hollow's par-5s under par across the event. Round two saw him erase a double bogey with back-to-back birdies, a run that kept his card intact. His consistency and scoring bursts gave McKendree a reliable leader at the top of the lineup.
TRISTAN TRAUSTASON | T-38TH PLACE | +13 / 229
Traustason followed with a 229 (+13), highlighted by seven birdies over 54 holes. He opened with an even-par stretch on the front nine in round one and went on to card birdies on three different par-3s during the week, showing touch with his irons. By finishing within seven shots of Du Plessis, Traustason gave McKendree another dependable number in the top half of the roster.
DHAYANIJ IEMKANITCHAT | T-44TH PLACE | +14 / 230
Iemkanitchat posted a 230 (+14), making six birdies along the way. His first round stood out with three birdies, including a quick rebound on the 11th hole right after a bogey. He handled the par-4s with consistency, avoiding big swings in scoring and keeping pace just behind Traustason. Iemkanitchat's effort placed him as McKendree's third finisher and kept the team's scoring pack tight.

Wu turned in a 233 (+17), capped by a strong second round that gave the Bearcats one of their better scores of the day. He totaled five birdies for the week, including a pair on the back nine of the closing round that followed a bogey stretch. AIDAN O'KEEFE (IND.) | T-74TH PLACE | +23 / 239
O'Keefe posted a 239 (+23), highlighted by a mid-tournament surge where he played four straight holes at one under par. That stretch included back-to-back birdies that erased early bogeys in round two. O'Keefe battled through the longer par-4s, and showed an ability to find scoring runs, displaying progress and gave the Bearcats yet another contributor capable of producing red numbers.

Boucher rounded out the scoring with a 240 (+24) and four birdies. His week was capped by a strong back nine in the final round, where he notched two birdies to finish on a high notes. His closing effort underscored McKendree's ability to generate scoring throughout the roster.

The Bearcats will head north to Lemont, Illinois on October 6th and 7th for the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate, taking place at the famed Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. Cog Hill's No. 4 "Dubsdread" course is a storied test, stretching over 7,500 yards through tightly bunkered fairways and large, undulating greens. Originally designed by Dick Wilson with Joe Lee, and later refined by Rees Jones, it has hosted multiple PGA Tour events and remains a true shot-maker's venue. With its championship pedigree and exacting design, Cog Hill will offer the Bearcats a high-caliber challenge and a great opportunity to sharpen their skillset.
