INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – McKendree's women's volleyball team fell in three sets against the Greyhounds of the University of Indianapolis. The final scores were 22-25, 23-25, 19-25.

The Bearcats move to 5-19 overall, 3-7 in conference play.

In the three-set sweep, McKendree finished with 43 kills, one short of UIndy's 44. The Bearcats picked up 41 digs compared to the Greyhounds 43. A big difference maker came from behind the service line. UIndy notched 10 aces on the match while McKendree only had four.

UIndy went on two four-point runs early on in set one to give them an edge over the Bearcats. McKendree responded late in the set with a four-point run of their own, but the effort was not enough to outlast the Greyhounds.

The Bearcats found themselves down 6-1 early in set two but battled their way back into the match with a three-point run of their own. The 2nd set consisted of the two teams trading points back and forth with UIndy coming out victorious, putting themselves up two sets to none over McKendree.

The Bearcats opened the 3rd set with a three-point run, but UIndy had a four-point run of their own to pull ahead early in the set followed by a six-point run. The Greyhounds would end the set on a four-point run, completing the sweep over McKendree.

Freshman middle blocker Megan Bishton led the Bearcats offense notching 10 kills with only one error, hitting at a .529% on the match. Bishton was followed by senior outside hitter Destiny Gray and sophomore middle blocker Avery Guisinger with eight and seven kills, respectively. Freshman setter Peyton Uptgraft tallied 30 assists setting up McKendree's offense.

Gray led on the defensive end with 13 digs followed by senior libero Ashlyn Berczynski who added in 11. At the net, the Bearcats finished with six blocks. This effort was led by Bishton with four (1 BS, 3 BA).

Up next, McKendree will travel to the University of Missouri-St. Louis, for their last road game of the regular season, on 11/7 for a Friday night match at 6:00 pm.
