TABLE ROCK LAKE, Mo. – The Bearcat Anglers took home a first-place finish this weekend at the Drury University Open with graduate Maxwell Trotter (Decatur, Ill.) and junior Parker Welch (Spring Hill, Kan.) placing at the top at Table Rock Lake.
The tournament hosted 36 boats from seven different universities. The McKendree duo had a fantastic day, weighing in a limit of 16.42. They also had the big bass of the tournament with a 4.71.
Other Anglers weighing in for the Bearcats were:
• Graduate
Evan Sutton (Highland, Ill.), who fished solo at 8th place with 14.95.
• Sophomore
Zach Widelski (Wheaton, Ill.) and sophomore
Evan McCormick placed 9th with 14.80.
• Graduate
Jack Stephens (St. Louis, Mo.) and Graduate
Lane Stephens (Talala, Okla.) placed 13th with 14.26.
• Graduate
Kyle Hopping (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) and junior
Eli Rocha placed 16th with 13.90.
• Junior
Ryan Foster (Columbia, Ill.) and junior
Max Brady placed 22nd with 12.27.
• Junior
Angelo Malek (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) and freshman
Landon Ingram placed 30th with 6.63.
"This tournament finish was a great way to wrap up 2025, said Head Coach Jon Rinderer. " I am really proud of these guys for all their successes this fall. We are looking forward to 2026. The first tournament of the new year will be at Florida's Lake Toho in January. It's a great day to be a Bearcat!"
