KANSAS CITY, Mo. | United Soccer Coaches - McKendree University men's soccer (10-6-5, 8-2-4 GLVC) capped off its 2025 season in November with a third-straight NCAA Tourament run and found two more postseason honors in the process as sophomore defender
Philipp Muehlhans and sophomore forward
Adam Reiniger each got First Team nods,
as released by USC on Tuesday. The two Bearcats already earned second team nods in the All-GLVC selections earlier this fall and helped push their squad to another postseason run to the league title game before heading into the national tournament to close of the campaign.
FIRST TEAM ALL-REGION
Philipp Muehlhans | Sophomore | Defender - Kraubath, Austria
Muehlhans helped headline a strong defensive squad once again as the Austrian played near full-time throughout the season while leading a backline that allowed less than one goal per game. While not stacking offensive stats, the sophomore continued his prowess of threatening in the opponents box once again, putting nearly 50 percent of his shots on-frame. He scored his lone goal of the year in the national tournament while assisting on one score in the home victory over Missouri S&T. Muehlhans now owns a multitude of All-GLVC and All-Region honors in his young career.
Adam Reiniger | Sophomore | Forward - Collinsville, Illinois | Collinsville
Reiniger, a local product for the Bearcats, continued to be an attacking threat this fall, firing seven goals with one assist while blasting three game-winners. He got the Second Team All-GLVC nod earlier in the fall before earning his All-Region First Team laurels this week. Five of his goals came in the latter weeks of the season with the sophomore scoring the deciding goal over Drury in the GLVC Tournament Quarterfinals at Leemon Field. His final score of the season came in the national tournament, where he put up two shots with both going on-frame for the Bearcats. Reiniger now holds multiple awards in his two seasons with the Bearcats.
