Women's Bowling Sweeps McKendree Baker Challenge

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. - The McKendree University women's bowling team hosted the McKendree Baker Challenge this past weekend, sweeping the event.

The Bearcats qualified third out of ten teams, knocking down 7,248 pins after 40 baker games. McKendree swept the event after the baker matches taking down Midland 2-1, Newman 2-0, and Missouri Baptist 2-0 to win the McKendree Baker Challenge.

McKendree's junior varsity team qualified for first after their baker matches, receiving a first-round bye.

Women's bowling is back in action next weekend, Feb. 14-15 as they compete in the Midwinter Classic in Jonesboro, Ark., and Feb. 15-16 as they face off in the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
