Barnden Named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University women's lacrosse junior attacker Jayna Barnden was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league's office on Monday.

Barnden earns her second career GLVC Player of the Week honor after the Bearcats defeated Walsh with a score of 18-13 last Friday, Feb. 21.

The Calgary, Alberta native secured a career-high seven goals on 7-9 shooting, one assist, one ground ball, and eight points. Barnden went 1-1 on free position shots and won four draw controls.

The Bearcats are back in action Friday, Feb. 28 as they take on Thomas More University on the road.
