INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University men's swimming placed third at the NCAA DII National Championship to wrap up the 2024-25 campaign with the highest placement at a national championship in school history.
The fifth and final night of action saw freshman Vova Gavrysh taking fourth place in the 100-yard freestyle a time of 42.96. 100-yard freestyle. Junior Tyson Upton placed 10th in the "B" cut final finishing 43.59.
Junior Patyrk Rozenek 200-yard backstroke took fifth place in the 200-yard backstroke, closing out the meet with a personal best time of 1:42.94.
Freshman Polat Tsabi 200-yard breaststroke placed 14th in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:58.99.
Closing out the meet the 400-yard freestyle relay of Gavrysh, Upton, and seniors Aurthur Souza, and Alireza Yavari took third in the nation, touching in a time of 2:52.64.
This concludes the 2024-25 season for the Bearcats.
