Eleven Bearcats Score in Women's Lacrosse Dominating Victory Over Arrows

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - The McKendree women's lacrosse team dominated Ursuline College in their win Monday morning.

The Bearcats scored a quarter-high 13 goals in the first quarter. McKendree ended the second half with a score of 18-2, keeping the Arrows scoreless in the second half and clinching the win with a score of 23-2.

Offensively, McKendree had eleven Bearcats get on the scoreboard. The Bearcats were led by freshman midfielder Elle Garriock and junior attacker Jayna Barnden, with five goals each being a career-high game for Garriock. Freshman attacker Ariyah LaFrance added three goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Alexa Prouhet led both teams in draw controls with five.

On the defensive end, freshman goalkeeper Izzy Schember saved five goals and allowed only two. Barnden caused five turnovers on the Arrows, while freshman defender Keely Blanchette and Garriock caused three.

The Bearcats are back in action at home Thursday, March 6, on Leemon Field at 4 p.m. as they take on Concordia University, St. Paul.
