Women's Lacrosse Earns Seven GLVC Honors; Hayden Named GLVC Goalkeep of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - McKendree University women's lacrosse earned seven individual Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) awards, as announced by the league office on Wednesday, April 30.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amber Hayden was honored as the GLVC Goalkeeper of the Year and named to the First Team All-GLVC. This season, Hayden broke two program records: 210 saves in a season and 13.13 saves per game. She led the league in GLVC-only games in save percentage (.480) and saves per game (15.71). She also led the league overall in save percentage (.504) and saves per game (13.13).

Joining Hayden on the First Team is junior attacker Jayna Barnden, who led the conference in goals per game with 4.20, scoring 63 goals this season.

Sophomore midfielder Lexi Macleod was named to the Second Team All-GLVC. She scored 40 goals, added 21 assists, and recorded 23 caused turnovers this season.

Two other Bearcats received Honorable Mention All-GLVC honors: freshman midfielder Makenna Fulkerson and sophomore defender Mackenzie Stroisch.

Senior midfielder Alexa Prouhet was selected to the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team.
