LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Men's Rugby traveled to Los Angeles to compete in the Los Angeles International Invitational 7s Tournament. The Bearcats went 3-1, making it to the finals.

"It's a tough way to finish, no doubt. Unfortunately, we didn't play our best in the final against University of Cal - Long Beach. But I could not be prouder of my group of players. Coming into the tournament we had a really good build up off the back of a very tough 15s season, we had several players that didn't make our final squad but showed up every day and helped our traveling squad get better and that shows the true character of our program. Our semifinal performance was one of the most complete games we've played, and our run through pool play was very impressive led by some outstanding individual and team efforts. Today wasn't our day, but our performance in this tournament was very special both on and off the field. These players gave absolutely everything, and I couldn't be prouder as a coach."
