Women’s Water Polo Holds at 23rd in the CWPA Top 25

Bearcats Earned Their First Ranking in Program History Last Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has revealed its weekly Women's Varsity Top 25 national poll on Wednesday, May 7th, with the McKendree women's water polo team remaining at the 23rd spot in the rankings.

Last week on April 30th was the first time in the CWPA polling history (since 2008) that McKendree women's water polo made its way into the polls. The Bearcat program has been a varsity program since 2018, as they were a club team in their inaugural season in 2017.

Not much movement went into this week's polls, as the only games played last week were the USA Water Polo Division III Women's Collegiate Water Polo National Championship tournament matches that were played on the campus of Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois.
