VANCOUVER, B.C. – The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named over 2,700 swimmers and divers to its Scholar All-American Team for the 2024-25 season on Friday, July 4th.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
Nearly half of all recognized student-athletes—48 percent—majored in a STEM-related field. Business Administration was the most popular individual major, selected by 5.6 percent of student-athletes.
CSCAA also announced on Wednesday, July 2nd, the selection of 763 teams from 432 institutions as Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2025 semester. These teams, comprising 18,459 student-athletes, were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.
To earn the Scholar All-America Team honor, programs were required to achieve a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
Within the NCAA Division II realm specifically, the McKendree women's swimming & diving team tied at 5th-best with a 3.76 team GPA while the men's team placed at 16th-best with 3.43.
