VANDALIA, Ill. – McKendree Bass Fishing team hosted a 25-boat tournament from nine different colleges on Saturday September 27
th.
McKendree anglers, junior
Parker Welch and sophomore
Zach Widelski, had an incredible day on a tough Vandalia Lake. Welch and Widelski won with a five bass limit weighing 15.19 lbs. They also won the big bass title with Welch's 4.30 pounder.
Second place went to sophomores
Chase Logue and
Mason Darling with a five bass limit weighing 11.58 lbs. Senior Henry Fledderman and graduate student
Kyle Hopping took third with five bass for 11.02 lbs. Former McKendree angler, August Kukis and his teammate Josh Route, fishing for Wisconsin Steven's Point placed fourth with 11.02 lbs. Sophomores
Liam Bonnett and
Matthew Qualich rounded out the top five with 9.88 lbs.
