SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - McKendree University men's soccer (3-3-2, 3-1-1 GLVC) played out its weekend with a 0-0 draw against Drury, marking four-straight unbeaten contests for the Bearcats. McKendree moved to 3-1-1 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, going 3-0-1 since its league-opening loss to Rockhurst, allowing just one goal over the last four games. The Bearcats come back home following the road weekend to host Missouri S&T and Lincoln (MO) on October 3 and 4.
The contest against Drury played out to be a neutral outing for both squads as possession and patience became the headlining factors for the Bearcats. McKendree fired three shots in both the first and second halves, putting just one of six shots on-goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Toby Lewis added his third shutout of the year, all three of which came over the last four games, by grabbing four saves in the effort. Sophomore forward
Morgan Dance led the attack with two shots while freshman defender
Alonso Romero, freshman forward
Fredrik Thulin, sophomore defender
Philipp Muehlhans, and sophomore forward
Adam Reiniger each fired a shot in the contest.
